010 Wooly-necked Stork

The Wooly-necked Stork (Ciconia episcopus), also known as Bishop Stork or White-necked Stork, is 86-95 cm long large wading bird. It has glossy dark green upperparts, white neck, white lower belly, purple hued breast and belly, heavy blackish bill, long red legs, and broad wings. Flocks of these birds are found as resident breeders in wetlands with trees of the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and tropical Africa. They build platform-like nests of sticks; the female lays 2-4 white eggs.
