030 Little Ringed Plover

The Little Ringed Plover (Chradrius dubius) is about 14 cm long plover. It has grey-brown back and wings, white belly, brown cap, white forehead, clear yellow eye ring, black neck band, short dark bill, and pinkish legs with webbed feet. In summer, these birds inhabit sandy or rocky lakeshores for breeding in Asia, Europe, and North Africa; in winter, they migrate to tropical India and Africa.
