024 Black-headed Ibis

The Black-headed Ibis or Oriental White Ibis (Threskiornis melanocephalus) is 75 cm long wader with black head, long down-curved black bill, white plumage, and black legs. It is a resident breeder in the marshy wetlands inland and on the coast of the Indian Subcontinent. The female lays 2-4 eggs in a stick nest built in a tree.
