027 Green Sandpiper

The Green Sandpiper (Tringa ochropus) is 22 cm long small shorebird. It has dark greenish-brown back and wings, greyish head and breast, white underparts, and dark green bill and legs. In summer, it breeds in the temperate Eurasia, but spends winter in the tropical Indian Subcontinent and Africa. It is a parasite, the female laying 2-4 eggs in a nest of other species nesting in trees near water bodies.
