018 Indian Cormorant

The Indian Cormorant or Indian Shag (Phalacrocorax fuscicollis) has a length of about 63 cm, bronze brown back scalloped in black on the upper plumage, small slightly peaked head, long narrow bill with hooked tip, and blue eyes. It is a breeding resident in the Indian Subcontinent and found fishing in inland rivers and wetlands of Sind, India, Thailand, and Cambodia. It builds platform-like nest of twigs in the tree forks.
