522 Rosy Starling

The Rosy Starling (Sturnus roseus) is 22-26 cm long bird with black head, wings and tail; pale pink back, lower chest and belly; and pale orange beak and legs. It is a migrant bird spending summer in temperate Europe and Asia, but winter in India and tropical Asia. In summer, the female lays 3-6 pale blue eggs in a nest made of grass and twigs and hidden in holes or crevices of rocks.
